Freedom

“Man is born free, and everywhere he is in chains.” – Jean-Jacques Rousseau

There are many types of freedom, and yet when we try to describe it we might struggle with finding the precise words that capture our personal definition and vision of what freedom means to one’s self.  Our ideas of freedom might motivate us toward what we desire; ways we want to live our lives.  But where do our ideas come from, ourselves, society, or somewhere else?

Some say that there are 3 types of freedom – freedom from, freedom to, and freedom to be.

In the comment section, choose one of the three types of freedoms mentioned and describe what you think it means.  Include one or two concrete examples to explain your description.
